101 God's Book
Little Julie Anne was doing chores and cleaning up the living room. She noticed a big book in the corner of the living room sitting on top of the mantle. The book was caked with dust. Curious, Julie Anne dusted off the book. It was a beautiful leatherbound hardcover with the title "The Holy Bible."
Julie Anne called out to her mother, "Mom, I found something here! What is this book?"
Julie Anne's mother came out of the kitchen to look at the find. "Oh!" she replied, "That is God's book, honey."
Julie Anne looked at the book thoughtfully for a few seconds. "Well, Mom, I think we should give it back to Him. We sure aren't using it!"
It has been said that over 90% of all American household own at least one copy of the Bible and that there are on average three Bibles in those households. However, many statistics also show that most Americans are ignorant of Bible knowledge. For example, only about half of adults interviewed nationwide could name any of one of the four Gospels. The Bible is God's Word revealed to us. It can feed our spiritual lives and bring light to our lives and those around us. Please don't let your Bible gather dust in the corner!
