103 Deceptive Tactics

Satan held a great war council with his fallen angels.  "How are we going to lead God's people astray?" he demanded of his demonic minions.

One demon stood up to speak.  "We can try to convince them that there is no God," he suggested.

"No, that's not going to work," countered Satan.  "There is too much evidence in nature of God's handiwork.  We've been able to deceive most of the world with evolution, but God's people won't be able to be tricked that way."

A second team stood up and offered another alternative.  "How about if we tell them that there is no Truth?" he offered.

"That is not going to work either!" objected Satan.  "While we've made great headway in distracting the world with different philosophies and pleasures, God's people will always go back to the Bible for Truth.  Try as we might, we haven't been able to get rid of the Bible from the world!"

There was much murmuring in the war counsel as Satan stomped around in frustration.  After a short while, a third demon politely raised his hand.  Satan quieted the war council as motioned for the third demon to speak.

"What if," the third demon stated carefully, "we tell God's people that there is no hurry?"

The war council became deathly silent and Satan pondered this idea for a moment, before a sinister and wry smile came upon his face.  "That could work," Satan grinned.

When Jesus comes again, there will be no second chance at redemption.  We need to prepare for eternity now.  Do not wait to accept Jesus' precious gift of salvation.  The time is now!
