121 One Last Sermon
Nathan knocked on the door of his neighbor Joel, who was a retired pastor. Nathan usually mowed Joel's lawn for him every summer, but this year he was going to spend a couple of months on a a mission trip to South Africa.
Nathan greeted Joel as he opened the door. "Joel, I can't mow your lawn this summer because I am going to a mission trip to South Africa. Don't worry, though. My son said he will mow your lawn for you, so you have nothing to worry about. I just wanted you to know that's not me out there, but that's my son."
Joel looked at Nathan ruefully at clasped Nathan's shoulders and looked at him straight in the eye. Tears started rolling down Joel's eyes.
"Oh, if God only gave me one more opportunity to preach just one more sermon," cried Joel. "You tell them, Nathan, you tell them! You tell them that Jesus is coming!"
If you have the love of Jesus in your heart, the desire to share the good news of Jesus' soon coming will be flowing out of you. Brothers and sisters, don't bottle the message for the last days, but rather, radiate it out to everyone around you!
