39 Mordecai Ham
Have you ever heard of Mordecai Ham? Most people have not. Mordecai Ham was an American evangelist who started preaching in the early 1900s in Kentucky. Mordecai Ham brought a fair number of people to Jesus Christ in his time.
You may not have heard of Mordecai Ham, but you may have heard of one of his converts. In the fall of 1934, a young man named Billy Graham was converted during a revival in Charlotte, North Carolina held by Mordecai Ham. Have you ever heard of Billy Graham?
The Bible encourages us to work faithfully for God even though our works may not be known. Remember that Jesus said that the kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground. which sprouts and grows, though the man does not know how. If Mordecai Ham did not do the revival which led Billy Graham to Jesus, then how many thousands would not have heard the Good News and accepted Jesus as their personal Savior as a result of Billy Graham's evangelistic efforts? Like Mordecai Ham, we should share the Good News when and where ever we can. Who knows if the next life you help bring to Jesus becomes the next Billy Graham?
