94 Pablo Come Home
A long time ago there lived a father and his son Pablo in a small village in Mexico. Pablo had fallen in with the wrong crowd and would always get in fights and be in trouble with the law. His father constantly chastized him and argued with him to get his life back on the right path. After a violent argument, Pablo ran away from home.
For years Pablo's father fruitlessly searched for his son, but he could find Pablo. Pablo's father would hear stories and anecdotes of the shameful acts and crimes Pablo had committed, but Pablo's father would not be deterred. He was determined to bring his son back home.
Finally, in an act of desperation, Pablo's father ran ads in all the newspapers in the region. The ad simply read, "Pablo, please come home. All is forgiven. Meet me at the town square Friday afternoon at 3pm in Barra de Navidad. Love, Papa."
Pablo's father walked with great trepidation to the meeting spot at the appointed time. Did Pablo get the message? Will he come? When Pablo's father turned the corner, not only did he see Pablo waiting for him in the town square, he saw about 100 youths waiting with Pablo! All of these youths were also named Pablo and were looking to reconcile with their father!
If you have strayed from God and found yourself trapped in your sins, it is never too late to repent and return to God. No matter what you have done and no matter how distant you seem to be from God, always remember that God is constantly yearning for you like a father yearning for his long-lost son to return. Don't you think it is time to come home?
